Fifteen years after a mysterious disease called The Big Death
wiped out everyone over the age of puberty, a loner named
Jeremiah (Luke Perry), joined by his cynical friend Kurdy
(Malcolm-Jamal Warner) and new mysterious traveler Mister
Smith (Sean Astin Lord of the Rings), makes his way among
the survivors, warring rival social factions of young people
who must learn to make their own way without the wisdom of
those who lived before them. Jeremiah works to build a new
world of hope from the ashes of the old...an ordinary young
man destined to become an extraordinary hero.
