What would your dream occupation be?
I don't really dream much, you know? Because I always wake up to the same old world. The same troubles.
The same struggle to survive. The real world is always right there, waiting for me when I wake up. So why
dream about something better? Something I can never have? But that doesn't mean I'm not hopeful. I believe
in a better future and I'm doing what I can to help the Alliance build it. Kind of my waking dream.
If the Alliance succeeds and the day comes when I can set down my burden? Not have to worry about where the next meal's coming
from or whether I'll live to see tomorrow? With my own thoughts in my head and not Chosen? I think . . . no, I know,
I'd want to work with children. Maybe be a teacher? Someone who can help kids see there's still beautiful things in the world,
no matter how ugly it can look on the surface. Photography is like that. Seeing things through a lens and interpreting it
in light and dark and colors. Finding the hidden beauty in things the naked eye might not see and capturing it on film, sharing
that vision with others. Kids are really great at finding the joy in things. I'd like them to see the hope, too. In the world
around them as well as within themselves.
