Which of the five senses would be the worst for you to lose, and why?
That's a hard question. I think that's one of the hardest questions I've been asked so far. Which sense would be worst to lose?
Touch, I think. Touch is more than a sense, really. It's a language all its own. It doesn't need words to convey its message.
It doesn't need hearing to understand what's being said. You can feel sound as vibrations through the ground or inanimate objects.
Did you know, you can actually feel the vibration of a word being whispered into your ear? Taste is a sort of touch, isn't it?
The tongue has to touch to taste, right? And touch can give the Blind the ability to see. To see the face of a child with the brush
of fingertips or to feel a lover's expression with a caress of the lips.
Never to be able to hold your loved ones? Your child? Or to hug your friends? Never to be touched? I couldn't bear that.
