What would your life be, if it were a movie? And who would play you?
I've never seen a movie. At least, not that I remember. I know what they are, though. I've read old books devoted to the subject.
Guess you could call it professional interest since I'm sort of a photographer.
I don't think my life would make a very good movie. It would be too dark and tragic. It would probably be a horror movie about the end
of the world. About the death of civilization and everything in it. About despair and grief and suicide. It would be like . . .
well, like a book I read once. The Stand. "This is the way the world ends. Not with a bang, but with a whimper."
And yet . . . I think it could also be a movie about hope and overcoming impossible odds. About new beginnings. It wouldn't be about me
but about us. About the kids who managed to survive 15 years of hell on earth. Mine is only a bit part, after all. I'm just a small
player in an epic drama.
Hopefully my part in the movie won't end in tragedy.
Who would play me? I don't know. I've read about the old movie actors but never actually seen one except in photos. So I can't really say.
Maybe the guy who played that college football player. You know, the little guy who made it against almost impossible odds?
I can't remember his name but we look a bit alike, don't we?
