If you were left on a desert island, what three things would you take along?
After the Big Death, we kids kind of learned to live with what we had or could scavenge. You learn to travel light.
Me? I've never really needed much. I can't imagine that changing just because I'm on an island. Actually, come to think of it,
the communities and towns that have grown up after the Death? They're kind of like islands, you know? Everyone insular. Everyone
for themselves. Entire villages shut off from the rest of the world. Self-contained, because you have to look out for yourself or
someone will come along and take what you've worked so hard to build.
If I could take any three things, I'd stick with what I already have. My pinhole camera. My knapsack. And my developing equipment.
That's all I've ever needed before so why change now?
Film? No, I wouldn't take film. My camera hasn't quite run out yet . . .
