How do you view commitment?
Commitment is dedication - making a decision and staying with it. Following through on promises. Doing everything possible to make that commitment come to life.

Some people view commitment as a promise made to others. To be together, to work together, to think of another person while making decisions. But commitment can also be to yourself - it involves making choices for your self and validating this commitment as being the best. Commitment can be to a wide range of people - friends, colleagues, business associates, those in your community, those in your society, to everyone who is still alive.

My personal life is a series of commitments: to Meaghan and keeping her alive, before she died; to Council and to everyone inside Thunder Mountain; to our teams to ensure their safety; to the outside world and making it into a better and more equitable place; and finally - to myself. Juggling all these commitments can feel onerous and demanding sometimes, but I would rather live as a man who is committed and dedicated to the world around me.
