How do you handle confrontations?
In general, I try to listen and respect the opinions and views of those around me. As leader, I frequently get yelled at, but I try to stay
balanced and not react. I tend to get more quiet and reserved the longer the confrontation goes on. Trying to change Thunder Mountain governance
into a democratic model instead of me as the absolute figurehead has given me headaches in terms of the increase in conflicts with others on Council.
On rare occasions, I lose it and I yell. I'm human and it happens but it leaves me weak and rather speechless afterwards. For some
reason, Jeremiah is the one person who can provoke this reaction in me. He yells at me, and I yell back. But, his confrontations,
since the day we met, have challenged me to open my community to the outside and to enact change. He's a doer, I'm a thinker.
