I have been sitting here pondering this question and I really cannot remember the last time I was given a gift, let alone the oddest gift. That's a rather tragic statement on the nature of my relationships with people. I have found things that I like, and have kept for myself - books, toys, maps. I can't remember people giving me anything except devotion and commitment to our united cause. That unto itself is a great gift, I suppose, but not really what the questions is asking about. Erin and the others frequently give me cake, but that is to bribe me when I am cranky or argumentative and they need me to change my mind. A bribe is not really a gift either, since people want something from you. A gift, in my mind, is freely given without expectation of returns. Actually, the children inside Thunder Mountain love giving me drawings to put in my office. Those are sweet gifts, I do admit :) But odd or strange gifts? Nothing comes to my taxed mind.
