I was wondering about what you all do for fun, for joy and for happiness?
To be honest, this is a good question because I tend to be so focused on keeping Thunder Mountain alive and safe that being happy and having
fun falls by the wayside. It's not that we don't have fun; it is simply that I forget to acknowledge it. In terms of actually enjoying life
under the mountain, we do organize fancy dinners for special events, like when Devon arrived. It's fun to plan community events that celebrate
our lives. The younger kids like having dances but they don't allow the adults to come. They make their own music on instruments and take turns
dancing. It's similar to the bars in the towns around us. We have arts and crafts rooms, exercise rooms, and a library, so anyone
who does want to relax and unwind and enjoy themselves has a variety of options. A lot of people have their own hobbies painting,
writing, playing instruments being popular ones which they pursue on their own, and often share with others. We also organize reading
nights, where people can share their work; art shows with artists in hand; and music free jams (which can get noisy). For my own fun ...
I read. I love reading, especially poetry and fiction. I love it when new books are discovered and brought back to the mountain!
